Replogle Mars Globe

It's been a while since I've been posting anything due to moving to a new house... but now I'm back with some new treasures.

To celebrate the landing of the Curiosity Rover on Mars early this morning, here's a pretty awesome 6" Replogle Mars globe that I picked up a few weeks ago. I believe it's from the early 70s.

1964/65 New York World's Fair Glasses

It took a little bit but I finally got all 8. This caddy wasn't included but they did originally come with one.

The first set are The Port Authority Building, The Unisphere, The New York State Pavilion, and The Federal Pavilion

World's Fair Glasses

The second set are Shea Stadium, The Hall Of Science, The World's Fair Circus, and The Pool Of Industry

Mid-Century Punch Bowl

I stumbled upon this killer punch bowl holder on Etsy a few weeks ago. It was missing the bowl, and the glasses that came with it were clear and kinda boring looking. Luckily, the glasses were the same size as the North Star juice glasses produced by Libbey and with a $7 bowl found at Ikea, this punch set is looking pretty amazing. I can't wait to use it!

The Electric Mayhem

Time to take a trip into the mid 70's. Starting in November, Acme Archives started releasing these amazing Electric Mayhem concert posters by artist Michael De Pippo. They were limited edition of 250 each and signed . Being the huge Muppet and Electric Mayhem fan that I am, I had to own them all! They look incredible framed in the bedroom.

I Was There!

.....actually I wasn't there. It was almost 20 years before my time.

1964 NY World's Fair Poster

I stumbled upon this killer 1964 NY World's Fair poster online the other night and really felt the need to own it. I'm pretty sure the image is just blown up from a souvenir sticker and wasn't originally intended as a poster but it's still pretty awesome. You can buy at CafePress in two sizes for pretty cheap.
