Christmas At Sears: Selections from the 1956 Christmas Book

  1. That was the year I was BORN. According to my Mother I was so SMALL that I slept in a shoe box for the first month and a drawer from their chest of drawers for the next 4 months after that. Supposedly my folks were so broke after I was born that if a NIEGHBOR hadn't incited them over for Thanksgiving diner they were going to have Fried Corn Meal Mush that year.
    I was curious what Christmas looked like at Sears that year for those who could afford it.
